According to the headstones in the Jeffery Early Knight Cemetery, apparently there were two Jeffery Early Knight Jr's., one born 19 Mar 1920 and died on 20 Mar 1920. To avoid confusion, I will refer to this one as his name is recorded on his headstone: JE Knight Jr. The other one, listed as Jeffery Early Knight on his headstone, was born on 27 Oct 1921, served in the US Army as a Tech4 during WWII and died in Jan 1981 in Laurel, Jones County, MS.

Whitehead Thomas Daniel Yates and Sillman Coleman, who were supporters of CPT Newton Knight Group of fighters, were summarily executed on 16 Apr 1864 by the Confederate Calvary during the War Between the States and buried in unmarked graves in this cemetery.
